Gielowski, Federice & Caligiuri, LLP (The Firm), was initially formed in 1993 by Stephen M. Gielowski.  Since that time, the Work Injury Law Firm has grown to six attorneys and continues to concentrate its practice in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law.

During its existence, the firm has represented thousands of injured workers as well as numerous municipal clients and insurance companies.

What is a Work Injury?

An injury or illness is work-related if an event or exposure in the work environment either caused or contributed to the resulting condition or significantly aggravated a pre-existing injury or illness. Work-relatedness is presumed for injuries and illnesses resulting from events or exposures occurring in the work environment.

If you have a work injury, you must follow 3 simple steps

Stephen M. Gielowski

Of Counsel

Mr. Gielowski founded the firm in 1993. Prior to that, he had gained extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation Law at the State Insurance Fund and various law firms. His career has been focused on Workers’ Compensation Law and Social Security Disability practice only. Mr. Gielowski is retired from full time practice but continues his relationship with the firm in an of counsel capacity.

Admitted in New York, 1997 – Mr. Federice began working in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law with the firm of Stephen M. Gielowski, LLP in August of 1997. From 2001 to 2004 he worked as in-house counsel for Royal Insurance on Workers’ Compensation and general liability matters.

Joe was admitted to practice in 1998. He Joined the Law Firm of Gielowski, Federice & Caligiuri, LLP in August of 1999 after a year as a Claims Associate, handling Workers’ Compensation claims at Cigna Property & Casualty.

James was admitted to practice in 2016. James began his career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office handling felony and misdemeanor cases gaining invaluable experience in litigation. He joined Gielowski, Federice & Caligiuri, LLP in 2017 as an associate concentrating solely on Workers’ Compensation claims. His experience litigating has translated throughout the Workers’ Compensation process for the benefit of the injured worker.
